January 2009 - The year started with a bang. Did a few short film projects as sound mixer.
December 24, 2008 - The year is almost done, but already looking forward to 2009 with so many projects in the works. I’ll rework the post on “Breathe In” and finally release it for festival distribution. I’m also looking forward to directing a film titled “Forever Starts” and completing a documentary on the blues band Big Papa and the TCB. And of course my big film will be “Used Car Joey” which I hope to get into production before the end of 2009. I have several screenplays that I need to complete also. It will be a busy year and fun. December 15, 2008 - The latest re-write of “Used Car Joey” has been completed. We are now sending the screenplay out to some potential actors for consideration, and once we obtain Letters of Intent, we can move forward to the next goal of securing production funding.
December 9, 2008 - Worked on the short film “The Tomb” as Sound Mixer. The film was Directed by Dan Blanchett. December 6, 2008 - Now that work on the feature is complete I’m putting together a budget and plan for “Used Car Joey” and in talks about doing post production sound design for The Border.
November 2, 2008 - First day of filming for “The Border” at the Lincoln Heights Jail complex near downtown Los Angeles.
October 26, 2008 - Production meeting for the feature film “The Border” Directed by Henri Charr. I’ll be running sound mix for the film.
October 22, 2008 - Attended an industry only preview of the film “Cornered!” Director Daniel Maze, and stars Steve Guttenberg and James Duval. The special screening and after party was held at the Raleigh Studios across from Paramount Studios.
October 19, 2008 - Held first round of auditions at The Working Stage in Hollywood for the feature film “Used Car Joey” which is co-written by Aimee Parrott and Antonio Gangemi. We had a fantastic turnout with amazing actors. We are now looking for investors and producers to make this happen in 2009!
September 23, 2008 - We have looked at the first round of possible cast for Used Car Joey, and will start casting in October. In other news, “Chemistry” is at two festivals... Wildwood By The Sea Festival in New Jersey and Philadelphia’s First Glance 2008 online festival. Don’t forget to visit there, register (it’s FREE) and VOTE for Chemistry!!!
September 15, 2008 - Used Car Joey gets a new web site to track the film’s production progress. You can find it at www.usedcarjoey.com The screenplay is now undergoing a budget breakdown and will soon have additional elements attached to the project.
August 29, 2008 - Making finishing touches to the original feature length screenplay “Used Car Joey” with fellow scribes Antonio Gangemi and Aimee Parrott. This feature length Rom/Com is scheduled to be shot in 2009, and is anticipated to be the breakout film for George. Much about the film is still being kept under wraps.
May 18, 2008 - Neither trip happened. The film production has been delayed until after the summer and the Korea trip didn’t pan out. The Rom-Com screenplay’s first draft is completed.
May 14, 2008 - Korea or Las Vegas? Been given an opportunity to travel to Las Vegas as part of the production for a new feature film being directed by Jon Bickford or to travel to Korea for business. Hmmmm?
April 30, 2008 - Working on several projects, including two short films and a new full length Rom_Com screenplay with collaborating writers Tony Gangemi and Aimee Parrott. The first draft being completed.

March 10, 2008 - The short film “Chemistry” has a special screening and party in Lancaster, PA.I’m currently co-writing a comedy feature length film with Tony Gangemi and Aimee Parrott which we hope to make later this year. The project is such a high concept that we can give out no information on it at this time.
February 4, 2008 - “Chemistry” is complete, and the DVD will feature lots of extra stuff... the cover art work is complete and was conceptualized by Alison Hansberry. January 7, 2008 - Post production on “Chemistry” is completed. There will be a full DVD made with extras, sub-titles, etc.
December 20-21, 2007 - Worked on the short film trailer for “Leonidas” directed by Paul Richard. This time I was handling production sound. You can find a trailer at YouTube at: http://youtube.com/watch?v=fkeMBNCg1C8
December 17, 2007 - My screenplay “Bleeder” made it to the Quarter Finals in the 2008 Slamdance Horror Screenplay Competition. More information can be found at their website a http://slamdance.com/writing/horror.html.
November 30, 2007 - Things have slowed a bit due to the Holidays. Work continues on the “Chemistry” editing and additional songs have been added. A new version is the works. Release of the film is still slated for early 2008.
November 3, 2007 - Logging of clips completed for “Chemistry”, and initial rough cut started.
November 2, 2007 - Worked on the set of Ben Stiller’s Tropic Thunder film for a scene depicting the Academy Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
October 22, 2007 - Principle photography completed for “Chemistry”. Overall the shoot went well. Pickups and post production are on the way.
October 12, 2007 - Auditions for “Chemistry” are now mostly completed. We had over 4300 actors submit their head shots, eventually narrowed this down to about 150 actors. It was quite a difficult choice after seeing so many great actors.
October 1, 2007 - Pre-production on the short film “Chemistry” written by Rick Hansberry continues. We have secured a location and are now putting together a crew for the shoot scheduled for later this month.
September 30, 2007 - I put together a Writers and Filmmakers’ Group and had our first meeting and screenplay read at the Havana Mania Restaurant in Brea, CA. We will meet once a month to read each other’s screenplays, and discuss filmmaking. Want to thank Chris Messineo of www.moviepoet.com since the group was formed from the fine folks that visit there.
September 14, 2007 - My film “My Bus Stop” screened at the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival. The theater had a good attendance by the public, filmmakers and industry leaders. After the screening there was a filmmaker’s party and it was a great place to meet others in attendance. I must say that this festival has some really great people running it and everyone was really nice and helpful.
August 27, 2007 - So what’s been going on you ask? Well, I’ve completed the first round of auditions for the short Rom/Com film titled “Chemistry”, and decided to obtain SAG Signatory status, which is now in progress. We have several restaurant locations scouted and awaiting final decisions on where to film. In addition, I’ve been busy on rewrites of “Killer Coma”, and penning a new feature length drama titled “El Pastel (The Cake)” which will be completed in Spanish and aimed at the Hispanic market. August 22, 2007 - The documentary on Big Papa and the TCB continues. Their CD recorded live back in March 24, 2007 and filmed by me will be the focus of a full length documentary on the life and times of this working blues band. June 15, 2007 - Pre-production for “Chemistry” continues forward, while “Breathe In” is in post production.

May 31, 2007 - Completed principle production on a new short film titled “Breathe In”, which was filmed entirely on location in San Pedro. The short was shot on HDV, with Jon Bickford as DP. Robert Olding starred in this futuristic drama.
May 19, 2007 - Private screening of “The Urge” at Long Beach City College for students, faculty and friends. Jeffery A. Baker (Lead Actor), Victor Patron (Writer and Music Supervisor), and Ena Herfkens (Co-Producer), and many of the crew that worked on the film were among the attendees. The screening also featured “My Bus Stop” another film by George L. Heredia and a music video.
May 18, 2007 - Second trailer for “The Urge” completed. As of today over 1000 actors submitted headshots for the film “Chemistry”.
May 14, 2007 - Casting notices submitted online to Breakdown Services for the film “Chemistry”.
May 3, 2007 - The screenplay “The Dead Sea” is completed.

April 29, 2007 - George begins collaboration with Richard Hansberry for a short film titled “Chemistry” which is slated to go into production in early July, 2007. Richard wrote the screenplay for an online competition, and was subsequently read by George, who agreed to produce and direct.
April 1, 2007 - A RomCom screenplay is being polished in what is being called a very tight lip project. The screenplay was written specifically with Adam Sandler in mind for the lead role. Stay tuned as this news develops.
March 24, 2007 - George films “Big Papa & the TCB” at the world famous Fender Guitar Museum Lounge. This 1-1/2 hour concert was captured with multiple cameras and will be part of a feature length documentary George is filming about the band.
March 18, 2007 - George’s birthday. And principle photography for “The Urge” shot in Long Beach. Editing, sound design and music will take another 4-6 weeks.
March 17, 2007 - “My Bus Stop” premieres at the San Fernando Valley International Film Festival to an excited crowd. Brad C. Light and James “B-Tip” Brown from the cast attend.
March 16, 2007 - San Fernando Valley International Film Festival holds a filmmakers cocktail party in North Hollywood. The film “My Bus Stop” is among the dozens selected for the upcoming festival.
January 6, 2007 - George shoots live concert of “Big Papa & the TCB” in Riverside, CA.
January 4, 2007 - Editing on “My Bus Stop” is completed and the first 10 festivals are entered
